Distinguished Members of Mace Club of Nigeria,

I congratulate us on the 36th year Anniversary of our dear Club. I salute the sacrifice and discipline of founding fathers of this noble Club which culminated in turning Mace Club of Nigeria to an enviable position in the comity of Clubs.

On this day, we remember the families of our fallen heroes and heroines in the history of our great Club in our prayers i.e Late honourary members and members.

As we are stepping into another year, I call on all members to come together as a team in the task of taking Mace Club to the next level.

At this critical time of our Nation and the World in General at curbing the dreaded Corona Virus, I join the Executive Governor of our State, His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun and other World leaders to condole with families of those who lost their lives due to Covid-19 and pray that Almighty God will put an end to the virus soon. May the good Lord also bail the Nation out of the looming global economic recession.

In the coming year, we will pay attention to the connection of our Club house electricity to the National grid, ensure we complete the perimeter fencing and strive to achieve many more developmental projects not forgetting our family party slated for December 2020 and most especially our core objective of humanitarian support to the needy.

I want us to brace up for the challenges of numerous activities in the new year of our dear Club.

Distinguished Mace Members, it is no news that Covid-19 is ravaging the whole world and Nigeria not exempted. Let us adhere strictly to the guidelines even as our Club demonstrated our contributions to the eradication of the pandemic through radio jingles and announcements on television. The impact of these cannot be overemphasized as it will soon manifest in the quantum of goodwill that Mace Club will enjoy from individuals, corporate organisations and government at all levels. We must keep the flag flying.

Once again, I congratulate us as we celebrate our 36th year Anniversary today. Let us celebrate in modesty and be candid in our dealings with humanity.
