MACE TUNJI ODUNMBAKU

Mace ‘Tunji T.A. Odunmbaku was born on the 25th of May, 1959 in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria. He attended the N.U.D Primary School, Ogbengbe in the Obafemi -Owode Local Government of Ogun State and later N.U.D Primary School in Ikare Akoko, Ondo State in 1970, before he gained admission in 1973 to Agunbiade Victory High School, Magbon Abeokuta for his secondary school education where he passed out in 1978.

 

Mace Tunji Odunmbaku is also an alumnus of the Ogun State Polytechnic (now MAPOLY) where he studied Mass Communications up to HND level (1982-1985) and University of Ibadan where he bagged a Masters in Communication Arts (MCA) in 1991. He is also a registered member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations and one of the founding members of the Mace Club of Nigeria, Abeokuta.

 

A former editorial staff of both Ogun State Broadcasting Corporation (OGBC) and Ogun State Television (OGTV), Mace Tunji Odunmbaku also served as a press attaché with the Ogun State Ministry of Information before he joined the organized private sector: Decross Limited in 1986 where he rose to become the General Manager (Operations) and the Ebenezer Obey Music Group where he serves till date as the General Manager (Special Projects) apart from his private practice as the Chief Operating Officer of the Foothold Communications, a firm of Corporate Affairs Management.

 

He was the 3rd Executive President of the Mace Club from 1995 to 1999 and he’s happily married and blessed with adorable children.
